Top service, top instructors.From booking ,payment meeting them everything was very easy.We booked four instructors and they were amazing.We were all first timers, and they put our safety first teaching us from.step to step.With 3 young children aged 4,6 and 9 they were brilliant.My 4 year old was crying as didn't want to leave with a stranger but came back happy and wanted to go for her lesson first thing the next day.Thank you so much will definitely book them again if we are coming back to Bansko again

Look no further! I can highly recommend Totem private ski lessons — you’re placed with incredible instructors who are passionate about their craft, and it’s all backed by a great customer service team. Unlike with other schools, with Totem I was able to reserve/pay online, and they quickly texted me details of where to meet and a photo of my instructor. I had two hour and four hour lessons, all with great timings… though frankly the time just flew by! I felt like my technique seriously improved, and I was able to have loads more fun on the days I wasn’t in a lesson.Also, I was on a large ski trip with friends who all tried to take lessons with another ski school (Ski Mania) and, between Ski Mania’s bizarre class times (a four hour break halfway through a four-hour private lesson?!), confusing payment system, and checked-out teachers, my friends’ experiences ranged from underwhelmed to bitterly disappointed. Thank goodness Totem managed to squeeze in four of those friends — both skiers and snowboarders — at the last minute, saving the trip after all!

The whole team at Totem have been fantastic. Given the limited snow the instructors, Danny(girl) and Alex provided amazing lessons. Going back in Feb and have already booked them again.

Totem staff were amazing and helpful and patient! We were a party of 9 with 8 requiring equipment, skis, boots, boards etc and we made some changes through the week and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be going back to them. Well done all!

Great ski & snowboard school and store! The crew consists of professionals (incl. former world top 20 ski athletes) who are very passionate about any winter sport! Great service, kind attitude - strongly recommended for both experienced and learning winter athletes.

Best location possible! Shop is right by the side of the slope so there's absolutely ZERO walking in ski boots! Ski-in ski-out! The staff is really friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. After trying multiple locations in the area, this is the only shop I'll ever go to for my ski rentals from now on.

Great place, excellent service! Purchased skis from the shop. The staff was friendly and patient, providing valuable advice in selecting the right equipment for us. They also let us test a number of models, before we settled on the one we liked. We also took a few hours with Chongi, one of their ski instructors, who showed us some cool tricks and helped us feel even better on the slopes. Overall, great experience. Recommend both the shop and the ski school, they know their stuff.

I could not rate it highly enough. Excellent! Our experience with Totem ski center was fabulous from day one, starting with super easy online booking. Nikola was an excellent instructor and very patient. Was superb in building up our skills and techniques. Would highly recommend. We would certainly ski with Totem ski center again, really fantastic skiing school.

Great experience with TOTEM Ski Center Bansko, february 2021 !My first time skiing in Bansko, also for my all family! We had 3 great TOTEM instructors for 8 days! One instructor, Kamen, for me, one instructor, Victoria, for our girls 8 and 6 yr old, and one instructor for my wife an for Rebeca, our girl 10 yr old . People are very friendly and patient with everybody. The lessons was fun and relaxed and you could see the children improving in their skiing every hour! Kamen was fantastic at communicating. Thank you for the experience, Kamen!PS: It was first time with the snowboard lesson for my child, Ilinca! Easily arranged 2-hour ski lessons via the online booking tool before we arrived on Bansko. Totem also ensured that subsequent lessons during the week were arranged with the same instructor. We learned to ski with Teodor, who was fabulous and taught us at a good pace and improved our confidence on steeper slopes. He also taught us top tips for the non-skiing aspects of the slopes which are all important for being a skier.The shop also has a variety of quality ski equipment to rent and we received friendly advice when asking novice questions about skis and boots. The shop location is perfect, right by the ski road so you can ski straight down to the gondola station without having to carry equipment.

I got a ski lesson with Nicola as a present for my Bday. He was really helpful at the office the day before - I hadn't... skiied for quite a long time (20+ years) and he showed me how to put on the ski shoes, he helped me choose the proprer quipment, we even had a laugh about the not so colourful ski socks.
On the next day, he was right on time. He was very professional. He had planned some activities but then adjusted them on the spot when he gained an idea of my actual skiing abilities. He was very encouraging and positively excited all the time and thus helped me feel realexed and fearless in a way 🙂 I had a glorious day and fell in love with skiing again.
And I would also like to thank Nicola for the awesome pictures he took of me. Seems that he is quite talented in that as well.:)read more

Daniel Shakanski is a fantastic teacher for kids and adults my son Zachary really enjoyed his three days of lessons... with Danny.
Zach was 6 last time he went down the slopes and in a short few hours Daniel had him heading down the red slopes agggh and confidently skiing down the home run which is 7km with no poles.
So thank you Daniel our son is a far better skier than his parents and that is thanks to you.
If you have an 8 yr old that is looking for a confidence boast to move up and improve on their ability then go straight to totem ski center and book Daniel.
I promise your kid will return beaming with joy.
We are already planning a return trip.

Avoid their boot fitting. They made permanent damage to my ski booths by heating and stretching them instead of trying... to make them narrower - what I asked for and needed. Now I cannot buckle them properly anymore. After complaining they said that they can just sell me new booths!!! They even did not offer to return the money.read more
